About the farm

Nybygget is located in the village of Skir and is owned by us, Åsa and Sven-Göran Erdtman. The property includes a two-family house with our son and his family living on the ground floor, while the upper floor is rented out. We ourselves live a few hundred meters into the forest. There are also a couple of cabins there that we occasionally rent out.

There are a few additional permanent apartments on the property with a total of 15 residents.

On the farm we grow carrots, onions, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, and squash for our own household. We also have pick-your-own blueberries and raspberries.

Amongst our farm animals, there is a dog, cats, and chickens (eggs are served for breakfast).

In the surrounding area there are beautiful walking trails, and about 500–600 metres from the farm is where our home is. You are more than welcome to stroll around the area to see our flower beds, waterfalls, wooden sculptures and black swans. Feel free to visit the small chapel by the ponds - a peaceful place to reflect on life’s joys and sorrows. There is also a wind shelter with a fireplace available for use by prior arrangement. If you look up, sitting nine meters high up in a pine tree, you will see a treehouse that we built together with our children. If the weather is good and not too windy, you are welcome to climb up and enjoy the view. Only three kilometers away, you will find Lake Barnsjön, perfect for a swim.
